Greyfriars became the burgh's burial ground in 1580. It contains a fine group of 18th century stones with depictions of winged souls, hourglasses, and skull and crossbones. Join archaeologist David Bowler on this Doors Open Days tour and explore how the stones and their symbols show changing tastes and hopes, as well as record life and death in the early modern burgh.
