Mi Perthshire backed by the council to help promote Perth City

Under a Freedom of Information request obtained by Perth Gazette shows a total of £15, 550 has been handed out to Mi Perthshire in a bid to help & support  local business to promote their products.

The app allows any business in Perth to sign up freely promoting various products with free branding. Colin Munro owner of Miconex launched Mi Perthshire in 2011.

The native smartphone apps for iPhone and Android are state of the art providing intuitive interfaces for consumers - making it easy for them to search, share and connect with businesses.

Miconex also offer partner packages which come at a cost, a spokesman from the company declined to comment on their audience figures.

Breakdown in funding from Perth & Kinross Council:

Business Growth Grant - £12,000.00

Consultancy Support Grant - £275.00

Youth Employment Scheme Grant - £3,230.84
