Plans emerged last year showing that Subway made a planning application into Perth & Kinross Council.

PKC agreeing and backing the plan it suggested the store would set to be open in the summer, however, the empty shop still remains boarded up.

After contacting subway in April and June Perth Gazette contacted a spokeswoman for a comment and yet we are to receive a response. An insider claims plans have flopped since the opening of Starbucks.

Subway is yet to confirm the rumours.

Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Would you like to see a Subway opening in Perth this year?
