The GWCT Scottish Game Fair has confirmed a new five-year agreement with Scone Palace, securing the iconic Perthshire estate as the home of Scotland's premier country sporting event through to 2031.

The announcement follows another successful Scottish Game Fair, held earlier this month, which welcomed more than 30,000 visitors across the three-day event.

The new agreement provides long-term certainty for exhibitors, sponsors, partners and visitors, while reinforcing the strong relationship between the Fair's organisers and the Scone Palace Estate.

This year's event also introduced a significant new feature with the launch of the NextGen Game & Estate Management Discussion, sponsored by Strutt & Parker. Chaired by William, Viscount Stormont, the session brought together estate owners, land managers, rural business professionals and industry leaders to explore how Scotland's next generation will shape the future of rural estates, land management and sporting businesses.

The discussion examined the opportunities and challenges facing the sector, including changing legislation, environmental pressures, innovation, skills development and the evolving rural economy. Its introduction reflects the Scottish Game Fair's commitment to providing a platform for important industry conversations alongside its traditional celebration of country sports and rural life.

William, Viscount Stormont, Owner and Strategic Lead of Scone Palace & Estates, said:

"The GWCT Scottish Game Fair has become an established highlight in Scotland's rural calendar and we are delighted to continue our partnership for the next five years. Scone Palace provides a unique setting for the event, and together we are committed to ensuring it continues to evolve while celebrating the very best of Scotland's countryside, sporting heritage and rural businesses."

James Gower, Managing Director at Stable Events, added:

"We're delighted to be extending our partnership with Scone Palace for a further five years. The Palace and the parklands have become synonymous with the Scottish Game Fair, providing an outstanding venue that allows the event to grow while maintaining the unique atmosphere our visitors, exhibitors and partners value. Welcoming more than 30,000 visitors again this year is a positive result in the current climate and demonstrates the continued importance of the Fair to Scotland's rural sector."

The Scottish Game Fair remains Scotland's flagship celebration of country sports, food and drink, countryside pursuits and rural living. It attracts visitors from across the UK and beyond, while providing an important showcase for businesses and organisations operating within the rural economy.

The five-year agreement ensures the event will continue to be held at Scone Palace, providing a stable platform for future investment, innovation and growth as the Fair evolves for exhibitors, visitors and the wider rural sector.

The next GWCT Scottish Game Fair will take place at Scone Palace from 2–4 July 2027. Further information and event announcements can be found at www.scottishfair.com.
