The Salutation Hotel set for big revamp

Scotland's oldest hotel, The Salutation Hotel is set for a revamp after Perth & Kinross Council approved the plans.

The sally which is clearly in bad shape from the outside have submitted their plans to Perth & Kinross Council and were officially granted.

Strathmore Hotels Ltd, which own The Salutation Hotel have invested profits to the Hotel's restaurant room and several bedrooms.

A spokeswoman for Strathmore Hotels said to The Scotsman in January 2015: “The Salutation Hotel is a Perth and Scottish landmark with an amazing history and, as such, we are constantly investing and improving it in a manner sympathetic to that history.

“As we’ve not yet been granted planning permission, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage, other than to say we think everyone will be delighted with it, should it be approved.”

The hotel on average has a four star review on Trip Advisor making it one of the busiest hotels in Perth.

The Salutation Hotel confirmed today 5th of October 2015, that plans have been granted by Perth & Kinross Council.
