A9 reopened following serious two-vehicle collision

The A9 between Bankfoot - Dunkeld remained closed overnight to allow investigations to be carried out following a serious two-vehicle collision.

It is not known at this stage whether there are any confirmed injuries as a result of the incident. However, emergency services remained on scene overnight.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted just before 6pm, with four appliances from Perth and an appliance from Blairgowrie on scene.

Police Scotland confirmed the two vehicle crash was reported around 5.40pm. Traffic Scotland have posted below 31-mile diversion.

Police Scotland opened both directions this morning just before 7.30am.
