Fire crews battle blaze at Perth High Street flats

Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 7:30pm following reports of a fire in the building’s communal area.

Two fire appliances are currently battling the blaze, while police have sealed off the road between Scott Street and South Methven Street.

Residents near by have been evacuated and the road remans closed by Police Scotland.

Perth Gazette understands the fire has been put out.
