John Swinney comments on school closure plans

Perthshire North MSP, John Swinney, has spoken out against the proposed closure of Balhousie Primary School, in Perth. In a statement, MSP John Swinney said: “I am deeply concerned by the proposal to close Balhousie Primary School from Perth and Kinross Council. The School is much valued by the local community, by pupils and by parents. I will be engaging closely with the school community about this proposal as it is considered by the Council.”

Balhouise Primary School and 9 other schools are under review and could be facing closure.
