Perth Leisure Pool have closed their pool due to safety reasons in fear of contamination.

Perth Leisure Pool have closed their leisure swimming pool due to an outbreak of contamination. Parents are reminded not to take any children in that are feeling unwell or have just recovered in case accidents might happen. This rule is also for adults.

A short message was posted by a spokesperson from their management team: "Perth Leisure Pool was closed this afternoon due to a faecal contamination. This happens when young children have upset tummies and don't manage to get to the toilet in time, or their swim nappies don't do what they need to. It is as frustrating for us as it is for our customers when this happens as we don't want to have to close the pool. A closure means no access for our other customers and a significant loss of income. We continuously ask parents not to bring children who have had any kind of illness in the 48 hours before or are feeling ill. Accepting the frustrations however, we must close to protect the health of our other customers, this is of the utmost importance to us. Full details regarding re-opening is available on our website. Thank you."
