Man found dead in Perth

The death of a man at a property in Perth is being treated as “suspicious” by Police Scotland.

The man was discovered dead shortly after police arrived.

A spokesperson said: “Police are investigating the death of a male at an address on South Methven Street, Perth. 

“Enquiries are at an early stage but the death is being treated as suspicious.”

Two men, aged 18 and 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

Emergency services attended at an address and a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective inspector Graeme Templar said: “Around 9.40pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023, we were called to a report of a man being seriously injured in South Methven Street, Perth.

“Emergency services attended and a 20-year-old was pronounced dead a short time later.

“Two men, aged 18 and 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with the death, enquiries are ongoing.”
