Perth Christmas Light Switch-On: Sunday

After a braw day of festive fun on Saturday the party will certainly not end there with Sunday gearing up to be a brilliant day of live music from local artists. Sunday 18th November will see two stages in Horsecross Plaza and King Edward Street fuelled by amazing Perthshire and Scottish talent. 

Horsecross Plaza Stage…

The tunes will be kicking off from 12 noon with Journey North - a Scottish folk 5 piece from Tayside and Fife. Followed by performances from The Mad Ferret Band, Cairdeas, Perth funk pioneers Bohemian Monk Machine, Bobby King & The Fishers ending at 4.20pm with a set from Aye n Aye. Aye N Aye are a collective of Scottish musicians who play their songs in a Jamaican style.

Kind Edward Street Stage…

Kicking off with our very own jack of all trades Chris Small at 12 noon. Following on from him will be About Last Night. Psych-rock outfit Real Life Entertainment will be making some sweet sweet noise from 1.30pm followed by The Purple Felts. Closing the day will be The Irritable Owls, Wang Dang Delta and Last Orders.

A brilliant lineup of music over two stages on Sunday, there really is no excuse not to head down. Support local artists and head down and see what all the fuss is about, you’ll not be disappointed. It's brilliant to see a whole day and two stages dedicated to smaller musicians and we want this to continue in future years, the only way that will happen is if we head down and join in the fun!

Need another reason to come down?

Surely not! Yet I can give you a few more. Perth’s Chocolate and Gin Fest will be continuing throughout Sunday so if you didn’t get enough free samples on Saturday you can always come down to replenish (but also buy gin presents for those you love and support small distilleries). I am also being told that there will in fact be an edible cake map of Perth and Kinross, no word of a lie.
