Police Scotland has appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of a 12-year-old girl reported missing from Kinross.

The force says Sophie Friedrich was last seen in the Acremoar Drive area of the town north of the Live Active Loch Leven leisure centre at around 1.30pm yesterday (Monday, April 3).

Officers reckon Sophie may have travelled to Fife by bus and is asking anyone who may have seen her since her disappearance to get in touch with them by calling 101.

A spokesperson said this afternoon: "Sophie is described as around 5 foot 1 inches tall, medium build, with long black hair which is usually tied up in a bun.

"She speaks with a Fife accent and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, grey jogging bottoms with a Nike tick and black converse trainers. She has a ring piercing on her right nostril.

"It is believed that Sophie is likely to be in the Fife area and may have travelled to Dunfermline by bus around 3.20pm."

"Anyone who has information on Sophie’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting 3565 of April 3, 2023."
