Scammers target iTunes customers over subscription charges

Scammers have been targeting iTunes customers with phony iTunes subscription emails.

Emails are being sent to customers throughout the UK over subscription charges confirming a yearly renewal of Netflix.

The email does look genuine however, links are taken directly to another website that asks for your login credentials. When entering your details the scammers will then know your password since the field boxes are not encrypted.

If you have entered your details from clicking this email, immediately reset your password, contact Apple and then contact your bank for further advice. To handle subscriptions you can do this via App Store or Apple's official website.

TIPS:

Never use the same password for websites that require a login including your emails as hackers will try to access everything you control.

Never click on emails that ask you to sign in a website that is completely different. Example, always check the domain.

Always contact the company first if in doubt and alert others of the scam.
