A driver has been praised by members of the public for the great act of kindness to a member of public yesterday.

Danielle Davidson from Perth, was approached by a Stagecoach driver yesterday after he spotted a parent with her children walking in the rain. The driver then allowed the parent on with her children and then made an unscheduled stop near Perth Leisure Pool, as the bus was not in service.

Following the news, members of the public had mentioned the driver would face warnings following the great act of kindness but Stagecoach confirmed today the driver will be praised if the driver comes forward.

In a statement they said: "It's always nice to hear examples of our drivers showing initiative and thoughtfulness and that we would like to thank Perth Gazette readers for their kind comments about this driver. "

Stagecoach also commented on the recent claims and said: "we do not currently have enough details to identify the driver involved but if we do find out which of our drivers was involved, rest assured they will be praised rather than criticised"

The article was a viral hit, and has been shared over 38,000 times across social media.
