Residents in Perth’s North Muirton Community are taking a pride in their community by setting up the Take a Pride in North Muirton group.

The community group are intending to spruce up the entrances to North Muirton much in the same way as many of Perthshire’s beautiful villages have.

The group is part of the very successful North Muirton Community Council, who have reintroduced the annual Gala Day, implemented traffic calming measures and much more.

Chair of Take a Pride in North Muirton Andy Hay said “North Muirton is unique in the city, given that it is surrounded by a green belt, in effect it is like a village within the city. We are going to create some nice floral displays at the 2 entrances to North Muirton, starting with the Dunkeld Road end. Many members of the community are looking forward to getting started! From there we can get to work on other parts of the community, engaging local groups to help us”

The group are looking for support from local business, in the form of tools, plants and large pots/barrels. If anyone can assist, they can contact Andy Hay on andy.hay@outlook.com

Take a Pride in North Muirton can also be contacted on Facebook.
