Dog Snatchers proactively marking properties to steal your dogs

Dog snatchers are proactively marking properties across Perthshire to potentially steal your dogs.

Members from the Perth community have posted pictures of unusual activity such as markings. One popular post from Leanne Anderson who noticed a mark and rope around her gate bar, with a yellow or orange mark.

She said in a post "Just found this on my front door? I'm worried as this is new from last night?! In North Murtion."

Gangs most commonly target trained working dogs, such as labradors, although other popular types such as chihuahuas and pugs also feature highly in the list of breeds most targeted by criminals.

Other members have posted similar pictures. Community watchers have alerted Police Scotland and Perth & Kinross Council but have not confirmed
