Paul Bulman sentenced to six years in prison

Police Scotland have acknowledged the six year four months prison sentence given to Paul Bulman at Glasgow High Court today.

Officers were involved in Operation Eris, which ran between September 2012 and January 2013 targeting an organised crime group headed by Paul Bulman.

On 29 May 2014, Bulman plead guilty to being concerned in the supply of pentedrone - a controlled drug with effects described as similar to amphetamine and ecstasy. His associate Sara Walker also plead guilty to transfer criminal property up to the value of £90,000. She has been given a Community Payback Order

Detective Inspector Douglas Norrie, Police Scotland :

'No one is beyond the reaches of the law. Bulman orchestrated his criminal network from within prison and through hard work and dedication from police officers and prison staff alike his enterprise was brought to an end.'

It was estimated Bulman and Walker were involved in the purchase and distribution of 70 kilograms of pentedrone with a value of around £500, 000.'
