Perth thug smashes mug into girlfriends face

Craig Smith, 37, assaulted girlfriend Alana Brown over a sip of beer.

An argument "over nothing" the court heard Craig Smith smashed a mug into Alana Brown's face over a sip of beer. It has been heard that Alana took a sip of Mr Smiths beer in their flat in October. Alana started to bleed instantly and now is scarred for life.

Solicitor David Holmes, defending, said : "The relationship is now at an end. There was no follow-up blow, there was no preceding blow."
