Police investigating a serious sexual assault in Perth

Police are carrying out enquiries following a serious sexual assault in Perth.

A team of uniformed and detective officers are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries into a serious sexual assault on a 25-year-old woman in the High Street area of Perth, in the alleyway between Ramsden’s and Superdrug, which occurred about 3am on, Sunday 8 November 2020.

The man responsible spoke with a foreign accent, is about 5' 8" tall and has a tanned complexion. 

Officers are currently carrying out house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area.

Detective Inspector Marc Lorente of Police Scotland’s Divisional Rape Investigation Unit said:‘‘We have a number of officers dedicated to this enquiry and I would urge anyone who might be able to identify the man responsible or anyone who saw someone matching that description in the area, to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any police officer.  Callers should quote the reference 0590 of 8 November. Information can also be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
