Police Scotland appeal after two break-ins in Kinross

Police in Perthshire are appealing for witnesses after two break-ins at homes in Kinross.

The first incident happened between 8.45am and 12.45pm on Wednesday, 12 January at a property on Broom Road. Entry was forced to the house and a quantity of jewellery valued at around £3,000 was stolen. The second incident happened between 11am and 12pm on Thursday, 13 January at an address on Muirs in Kinross.

Entry was gained to the property and jewellery was again stolen. The exact value is to be confirmed but is believed to be around £200. Police are working to identify a man who was believed to be in the area, described as white, in his early 50s, around 5ft 8in tall and of medium build, with short dark hair.

He was wearing a black hay, white face mask, white hooded top, dark trousers, black shoes or trainers and black gloves.

Constable John Scott of the Community Investigation Unit at Perth Police Station said: “Our enquiries into both of these incidents are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCYV footage from the area on either day.
