An elderly female aged 92 from the Kirriemuir area had a cold call on Saturday 29th March 2014 from an unknown male in his thirties.

The male was described as being 5ft 8 tall, of skinny build, short brown hair, brown moustache, dark eyes and wearing dark clothing. The male had claimed to be there to quote her work for her roof.

The male had entered the address and began quoting the elderly female large sums of money and tried to obtain a large deposit from her to complete work. Luckily no money exchanged hands.

Local residents are to be made aware of this and remain vigilant when cold callers attend their homes and if any persons who may know or have seen this male to contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact any Police Officer.
