Police warn selling site users to be extra careful following fraud allegations

Police Scotland have warned members of the public to avoid handing over money before goods received.

Allegations have emerged following scams over festival tickets on selling sites such as Facebook Groups "Wanted for Sale" - Police have warned communities to stay vigilant when handing over money before goods have been received.

One name in particular has emerged on social media and police are investigation the allegations.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "“We can confirm we have received a report of fraudulent activity, and inquiries are ongoing.”
