Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following an assault on a 31-year-old woman that happened within a car park near to B918, Balado, Kinross outside the T in the Park festival last night (Sunday, July 13).

The woman left the event between about 6.15pm and 7.15pm and whilst walking between south car parks 1 and 2, was approached by a man who assaulted her.

He is described as being in his mid 30s, of medium build, about six feet tall in height with short dark hair. He was wearing a red-tracksuit top, dark blue jeans and white trainers.

The woman was uninjured but upset by the incident.

Officers are particularly keen to trace the occupants of a red Audi car that was travelling on the B918, near to the Private Coach car park and South car parks. The man who was driving the car and the woman in the front passenger seat, spoke to the 31-year-old shortly after the incident and may have information that could assist police with their enquiries.

The occupants of this vehicle or anyone else who may have seen or heard anything that could assist officers with their enquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
