Acclaimed Stand Up Comedian-Coming To Green Room

Local live performance venue -The Green Rooms (Perth) LTD are flying acclaimed stand-up comic and accomplished TV writer Meryl O’Rourke up from London to perform at the monthly comedy night on June 2nd.

Headline act Meryl O’Rourke who has previously supported legendary Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle on tour and performed at The Hammer smith Apollo in London, will be accompanied on stage by another female stand-up comic Jojo Sutherland, who originally hails from Dunkeld.

Also supporting on stage will beStuart Mitchell who was described by the Sun as “Scotland’s brightest comedy talent” and by the Daily Record as “Remarkable”. Host for the evening is JD Brown who recently won the Yes bar ‘Best New Act’award. Headliner, Meryl O’Rourke is a highly sought after gag writer for many of the flagship panel shows and comedy programmes on the BBC, Channel 4 and Dave.

Recently a stolen joke of hers went viral on Facebook, reaching over 15 million views. Meryl is one of Celebrity/Big Brother's Bit On The Side‘s favourite guests, having appeared 5 times on the Channel 5 show. An accomplished radio presenter, she also wrote and performed her own comedy series for Woman’s Hour on Radio 4, The Hysterical Method of Conception.
