36-year-old found dead at T in the Park

Seasick Steve, Jessie J, Charlie XCX, Years and Years, Jack Savoretti and many more have warmed up the stages today with blistering sets ahead of tonight’s headliners – Avicii, The Libertines, Twin Atlantic and Courteeners.

Says Geoff Ellis: “It was really special to have an up and coming Scottish band opening the main stage for a second day in a row. The LaFontaines kicked things off, spectacularly setting the tone for a day of incredible performances. Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott sparked one of the day’s biggest singalongs, while The Script, The Vaccines and Jessie J all attracted large crowds.”

“I’m looking forward to Avicii and The Libertines making their T in the Park debuts tonight.”

Earlier today, Police Scotland confirmed the body of a 36 year old male was found on the festival campsite.

Says Superintendent Colin Brown: “We have notified next of kin and the death is currently being treated as unexplained. As is standard procedure in all such cases, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”

“There have been 28 other arrests made during the festival which is on par with last year and overall fans are behaving and having a good time.”

Colin Rodger, Event Manager for T in the Park added: “We are extremely saddened by this news, and our thoughts are with the family at this time.”

“We’re doing everything possible to help emergency services with their enquiries.” 476 people have been seen by the hospital tent – less than this time than last year.

Nick Moore, Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We’ve seen a steady flow of people at the first aid points and the hospital tent but there is no significant causes for concern. The weather forecast tomorrow is changeable so we encourage people to come prepared.”
