BBC Biggest Weekend: Main event comes to an end

The two-day event has come to an end at BBC's Biggest Weekend in Perth. Amy MacDonald and The Shires managed to make the crowd roar as the sun descended on Scone Palace with top temperatures of 22C in Perth.

Emeli Sandé also made an appearance, the Scottish artist raised from Aberdeen rocked the stage and Hollie Irvine also had the pleasure of interviewing backstage.

Simply Minds also managed to get the crowd dancing, they formed in Glasgow in 1977 and became the most commercially successful Scottish band of the 1980s and are still busy working away across the globe.

Scottish artists were also booked for stage 2, pictured artist Callum Beattie and the band Vistas.

Cullum Beattie dropped a new exclusive track during his set which you can catch on the iPlayer's website now.

Rae Morris finished off stage 2 with some funky beats and some of her best tracks, the crowd certainly packed up as the main stage crowd had to wait for an hour until Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds started their set.
