Road restrictions and closures for the Perthshire Adventure Festival and Dragon Boat Race

Motorists and pedestrians are advised that there will be a number of road restrictions and closures in Perth City Centre over the weekend of Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15 for the Perthshire Adventure Festival and Dragon Boat Race.

On Saturday, pedestrians will be restricted on High Street and King Edward Street due to activities taking place. Every effort has been made to minimise the impact on the passing public who are not attending the Perthshire Adventure Festival.

Only vehicles associated with the Adventure Festival or emergency services will be able to gain access to High Street between 9am and 5pm.

On Sunday, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, Tay Street will be closed from Canal Street to Marshall Place to allow for on street activities for the Adventure Festival and the Dragon Boat Race in the afternoon.

A Perth & Kinross Council spokesman said: "We apologise for any inconvenience, however to ensure the safety of the staff and public attending the events these restrictions and closures are necessary."
