The winners of a series of community competitions to celebrate The 2014 Ryder Cup were announced at a civic reception at Gleneagles on Sunday 14 September.

Provost Liz Grant said, “It was truly a pleasure to be able to reward so many well deserving local groups and individuals, and the perfect opportunity to bring together civic-minded people from across Perth and Kinross in celebration. The scale of community participation in The 2014 Ryder Cup has been outstanding and I am very proud to represent Perth and Kinross.”

Heather Edment, Gleneagles Golf Business Manager, said: “On behalf of everyone at Gleneagles, I’d like to congratulate all of the winners for their achievements. As the Ryder Cup draws ever closer, it’s wonderful to see so many local businesses and groups come together to help showcase Perthshire in the best possible light.”
