Deceased identified following Crieff to Braco Road crash

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision that occurred about 1310 hours on Friday 11 July 2014 on the A822 Crieff to Braco Road.

The collision involved a black Landrover Freelander motorcar and a silver Ford Fiesta motorcar both travelling southbound and a northbound black BMW motorcycle. Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed for several hours to enable full investigation to be carried out into the circumstances.

The motorcyclist involved in the collision unfortunately later died in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Deceased’s family have been informed and he has been identified as James Lambert who was 62 years old.

Enquiries into the full circumstances are being carried out in to the collision and as with all deaths a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101, or speak to any Police officer.
