Dundee United and Celtic FC match expected 11,000 people to attend

Police Scotland  ask members to have fun and be safe while attending Saturday's match.

Around 11,000 people expected to attend tomorrow’s (Saturday, April 5) all-ticket match between Dundee United FC and Celtic FC at Tannadice Park, Police Scotland remind supporters to enjoy the game in a safe and considerate manner.

Chief Superintendent Craig Suttie, Match Commander, said: “Police Scotland continue to work with both clubs to ensure that everyone has a great family day out and enjoys the game safely.

“Our officers expect people to abide by the law, as well as the ground regulations and police will deal effectively with anyone who is involved in disorder or other criminal behaviour.

“As with all fixtures, alcohol, containers, smoke bombs and pyrotechnic flares are not permitted in the ground and strict segregation will be in force.

“Supporters are encouraged to allow plenty time to travel to the game for kick off at 12.45pm in order to experience the atmosphere of this event in full. Police will be active outside the ground before and after the match to ensure there is a safe environment for all those attending.”
