Tributes made as 17-year-old teenager dies in hospital

A 17-year-old teenager was rushed to Perth Royal  Infirmary as Scottish Ambulance Service received a call of a young girl requiring medical attention.

Kayla Brown was a senior prefect at Perth Grammar School and was a popular, bright pupil. Ryan Jackson said: "I will never forget the times we had in the 53, some great memories with a great person. Thinking of all your friends and family and wishing them all the best R.I.P Kayla Brown"

Perth Gazette was made aware of the incident on Wednesday but details were still not confirmed. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland, along with other emergency services, attended an address in Stanley at 6.50pm on Tuesday following reports a 17-year-old girl required medical assistance.

“She was taken to Perth Royal Infirmary where sadly she died.

“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and as with all other sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”

Kayla's funeral is being held on the 20th of October, in Stanley church at 12 pm. Family and close friends have said anyone can attend. Dress code "typical Kayla" Gothic Halloween, or bright clothing.
