Nigel Farage to decide on election fight

The UKIP leader Nigel Farage has said he will decide in the next 24 hours whether to stand in the by-election.

Nigel Farage will make a decision whether to fight for the by-election over Tory ministers quit sprat.

Mr Mercer admittedly he was ashamed and had many regrets as he stood down early this evening. 

Mr Farage told the BBC: “I know that winning one seat in Westminster would completely transform the landscape for us as a party in terms of our prospects.

“What I’ve got to work out is, is it the right seat for me. And I just…my reservation in my mind is I haven’t particularly got connections with the local area.”

Patrick Mercer was given a six month ban from Parliament for allegedly asking questions in Parliament in return for money.
