Police in Perth are appealing for information after a 73-year-old woman had her purse taken from her handbag while she shopped in the city centre last Thursday (May 8).
The pensioner was in the Card Factory in the St John’s Centre, High Street, at about 12.30pm when she felt two women bump into her. Thinking it was an accident, she thought no more of it.
But as she went to pay for items at the till, she noticed her handbag, which had previously been closed, was open and her purse was missing.
It is a black purse with coloured flower designs stitched on to it and it contained a two-figure sum of cash, credit and debit cards.
Anyone who was in the area and who saw anything that could assist Police Scotland’s enquiries should call 101, or speak to any officer.
Information can also be provided anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
