Two cars have caught fire after both cars collided with each other on the south A9 near Pitlochry.

Two cars have caught fire after both vehicles collided with each other on the south A9 near Pitlochry.

Shortly after 4pm Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and Police Scotland were called to an RTC on the A9 south of Pitlochry.

The northbound carriageway is closed at Dowally, while traffic is being diverted through Pitlochry – East Haugh.

One person was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by air ambulance.
