4-year-old girl in serious condition after A9 RTC

About 1600 hours Wednesday 18th June, 2014, a Road Traffic Collision occurred on the A9 Inverness to Perth Road at the pass of Killicrankie.

About 1600 hours Wednesday 18th June, 2014, a Road Traffic Collision occurred on the A9 Inverness to Perth Road at the pass of Killicrankie.

A Green Mitstibushi 4×4 pick up towing a caravan was travelling south when it overturned coming to rest on the carriageway.

A 4 year old girl passenger in the vehicle suffered head injuries and was airlifted to Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow where her condition is described as serious. A 13 year old boy and 27 year old female were also taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Their condition is not thought to be serious.

The southbound carriageway was closed until 2230 hours to allow for crash investigation to be carried out and the vehicles to be recovered.

Police Scotland are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or who may have seen the Green Mitstibushi jeep and caravan travelling on the road prior to the collision to contact them on 101.
