Scotland and the rest of the UK is to be battered against Hurricane Gonzalo, including Perthshire.
The UK will feel the hurricane at around 10pm tonight forecasters have warned. Heavy rain will be pouring throughout the night and as rush hour commences in the morning winds are to pick up potentially causing damage.
Gonzalo, which brought 110mph winds lasting 26 hours to Bermuda on Friday, has powered its way eastwards across the Atlantic towards us.
Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge said: ‘The remains of Gonzalo will be stormy. People should keep up to date with warnings.
‘The strongest winds will fall in the Tuesday morning rush hour when roads are busiest.
‘Trees risk being blown over. Ferry sailings could also be affected.’
