Just after a few weeks of opening, Perth’s busiest sandwich shop Subway is facing teething problems yet again.
The hype from the store lasted for months and finally owners decided it was time to open. However, a fair few customers have branded the shop as disgusting, dirty and grotty.
However, the store has faced huge orders since its opening, some have said the waiting times are ridiculous, especially at lunch hour. Some walking out because of the waiting times.
In one comment Julie Blakely said: “Can’t see the fascination in what’s basically a roll filled with crap processed meat of somekind topped with wilted salad in a place that’s grotty despite it being brand new.. Tried it and won’t be rushing back. ”
Business owner Sarah Graham said: “They were placing fillings on the counter which hadn’t been cleaned then putting them into subs! Staff don’t have a clue what they are doing! The place is a joke… so unorganised.. far too many staff behind the counter & too many members getting confused!”
The store confirmed card payments are not accepted, so customers would need to pay with cash.
It has also been reported a fellow member of staff was sacked, and was informing customers outside the shop that the place was “Dirty and unprofessional”
Subway are yet to comment on the matter.
Customers are urged to give the shop a chance to overcome the teething problems.
