Management of Brendan MacFarlane are facing major troubles following a social media ownership dispute.

With millions of hits on websites worldwide and over 4,000,000 views on his YouTube, 17-year-old Scottish vocal powerhouse Brendan MacFarlane qualifies as a bona fide internet sensation. He released his debut album titled “The Road” in 2011 Dedicated to his late granny “Peeps” and featuring 11 original songs co-written by Brendan with his father George and uncle Bizzy, The Road celebrates the traditional gospel, country and bluegrass music his granny shared with the singer throughout his early childhood.

Brendan MacFarlane was signed by a music management agency after his voice was heard across the world. However, management have now confirmed they are experiencing great difficulty with social media pages that have over 60,000 likes.

It’s alleged a page owner Gordon Scott who has full control over the original page and the official YouTube channel account will not give accounts to MacFarlane’s management.

He said: “Hey Everyone The fan page that I had is not mine it belongs to Gordon Scott so please follow my page at the link below as I have no access to the other page and he will not give me my own page or my youtube.”

However, in this case by terms and conditions the accounts would end up shut down as Facebook and YouTube cannot grant ownership transfer requests. The legal side of things, management can request removal and would expected to be granted.
