7 men charged by Police Scotland following drug raid

Police Scotland successfully seized a quantity of Class A, B and C drugs from a number of domestic properties across Tayside Division this week.

On Friday 30th May, a 40 year man was charged with drug offences in connection with a search of an address at High Street, Kirriemuir.

In Perthshire addresses were searched in Perth and Aberfeldy where heroin, cocaine and cannabis were recovered resulting in three men aged, 23, 28 and 53 years being held in custody for drug offences.

Also in Perth, a 28 year old man and a 30 year old man were charged with drug offences having been traced by officers in Perth City Centre.

And finally for Perth,  37 year-old man has been charged following a drugs search at Stronsay Court in Perth.

These incidents have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Meanwhile in Tayside

On Wednesday 27th May, a 39-year-old man was charged following a drugs search at an address in Macalpine Road, Dundee.

On Thursday 28th May, police carried out searches at addresses in Lordburn Place and Glenmoy Terrace, Forfar, resulting in a 42-year-old man, a 42 year old female, a 32-year-old man and a 29 year old man being charged with drugs offences.

In Dundee, a 29-year-old man was charged with drugs offences in connection with a search at an address in St Giles Terrace.
Officers carried out controlled searches under warrant in Dundee, Angus and Perthshire as part of Operation Slate, an ongoing intelligence-led initiative to target drug-related crime across the Division.

The local policing teams were supported by specialist officers during the operation and quantities of heroin, cocaine, diazepam and cannabis were recovered, along with approximately £3000 in cash.
