Police appealing for information following burglary in Balado

Police Scotland is appealing for information after a two men entered the home of 76 year old woman at Balado, Kinross at 1.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 17 June) and made off with personal belongings.

Police Scotland is appealing for information after a two men entered the home of 76 year old woman at Balado, Kinross at 1.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 17 June) and made off with personal belongings.

The woman was shaken but unhurt.

One of the suspects is described as in his 20s, thin build, brown eyes, short brown hair with a goatee type beard, wearing a blue hooded top and blue jeans.  The second suspect is described as being about 18 years of age, tanned complexion and wearing a grey/blue jersey top.

Detective Inspector Wayne Morrison said :

“This is a despicable crime targeting an elderly person in their home and enquiries are ongoing to trace the individuals responsible for this crime.  We would urge who may have saw these men before or after the incident in the area to contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101 or speak with any police officer.  Information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111′.
