A young boy in Perth has been involved in a suspected hit & run in Perth.

A 7-year-old boy was hit by a car on Rannoch Road, Letham near a roundabout.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service attended where the boy was treated for minor injuries.

Following the next day the 7-year-old was taken to hospital and was treated for a fractured rib.

The man is being described as an older man with white hair and a mustache. Laura was currently on the phone to her son when the incident happened.

The mother said:” I have ran out and across the road as I was on the phone to him at the time and saw the car driving away it was a small silver car I didn’t see the driver but **** has said it was an older man with white hair and a white mustache.”

Police Scotland is reviewing CCTV in the area to identify the driver.

A spokeswoman from Police Scotland said: “The incident happened shortly after 7.30pm in Rannoch Road and involved a seven year old pedestrian and a car. At the time of the incident the boy was with his five year old brother.

He suffered a very minor injury to his arm as a result and did not require hospital treatment.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of a silver car coloured.”
