Perthshire entrepreneurs gearing up for business month

Perthshire businesses are set to be given a boost as local support organisations come together to host Perth & Kinross Business and Enterprise month.

Perthshire businesses are set to be given a boost as local support organisations come together to host Perth & Kinross Business and Enterprise month.

Running throughout November, the fully funded programme of events will focus on a range of business topics relevant to the local business community.

Perth & Kinross Business and Enterprise month involves a partnership between a number of business support organisations in the region including Business Gateway, Perthshire Chamber of Commerce, Elevator, Perth and Kinross Council, the Federation of Small Business and UHI Perth College.

The week will consist of a range of free businesses events including:

· Inspired Business – Wednesday 4th November at UHI Perth College – The launch event for the business month will bring in record breaker and explorer, Mark Beaumont, along with a range of local business speakers to inspire and energise.

· Managing for Growth, The Future of the Web – Tuesday 17th November at UHI Perth College – IT and the web plays a massive role in modern business and this special session featuring internet expert Steven Whitelaw will offer an insight into what the web will look like in the near future and how it could be used for business.

· Think Innovation, Think Global – Wednesday 18th November at The Famous Grouse, Glenturret Distillery, Crieff – This event will focus on innovation in business and in exporting services and products abroad. This session is ideal for those who are considering growing their business internationally.

· Business Star Awards 2015 Finalist Ceremony – Friday 20th November at Crieff Hydro Hotel – The Business Star Awards recognise and rewards the finest of local companies, both large and small, whose impact and performance have helped to keep Perthshire at the forefront of Scottish business in the 21st century. This evening dinner ceremony is the culmination of the awards process, with the winners being crowned.
