Despite the pandemic, new business owners Neil & Sophie McEwan open up a business in Perth named Quince & Cook.
Two passions came from the newly found business, Interiors and cooking. It has been an aim of theirs for many years to open their very own bricks and mortar store, so it is a dream come true to finally swing the doors wide for all to enjoy.
So what exactly does Quince & Cook sell in their store?
Step inside this true destination store, shopfitted by the talented Robert Workman and interior designed by Sophie & Neil. The space is fresh, bright, welcoming, and completely unique. Including a live demonstration kitchen crafted by The Design House features the best range cookers on the market. Quince & Cook is the only space in Scotland where you can view all range cooker brands together; Aga, Bertazzoni, Esse, Everhot, Lacanche and Rayburn, along with large appliances such as fridge freezers and built in ovens and hobs.
As well as a range cooker kitchen, you can find an extensive cookware and an interiors department. Brimming with a handpicked collection of cookware from well-known brands such as LeCreuset, Aga and Opinel plus handy kitchen utensils and linens. Wander over to interiors and nestled on the shelves is a colourful and creative collection of interior accessories, gifts, toys, cards, wrap and so much more. The range is curated from a mix of independent makers, Scandinavian Designers and bigger brands such as Weaver Green, Nkuku and Garden Trading.
Each item is sourced as locally as possible and lovingly handpicked for the store, with fresh new designs each season that you can find in-store and online. Services on offer include local delivery and collection, private late-night shopping, one to one cooker appointments, a gift boxing service, as well as interior design advice and consultation.
Wash House was born last year after Sophie’s search for plastic free cleaning. Starting off on market stands at Guardswell Farm, it quickly became evident that plastic free was on many people’s minds and as the demand grew so did Wash House.
Perth’s first zero waste refill store dedicated to natural, vegan, plastic free cleaning materials plus body, skin, and haircare. Here you can bring your own bottles or purchase one of ours and refill anything from laundry liquid to hand soap.
