Comic-mania has been sweeping the country of late, as a series of Comic Con events celebrating comics, fantasy and cosplay have been taking place all over Scotland.
Comic Con has been spearheading the movement touring Glasgow and has made the decision to expand further with Perth after countless requests to bring the popular Comic Con to the City.
The event takes place from 10am – 4pm and will feature over 70 traders, cosplayers like Iron Man, Batman, Spider-Man, Transformers,, activities for all ages from tots to adults, as well as a series of guest appearances from Writers and Artists from Marvel, DC, Image and 2000ad Comics.
Organiser, Ian Bonar, of BGCP Comic Con, said, “We’ve had so many requests over the last few years to come to Perth but it’s never been the right time until now, Covid19 forced us to postpone 12 events until 2022 so those events were all ready to go and now that we have a year to plan we looked to add some more with Perth and Aberdeen being our main goals, Perth has been great so far and over 2000 tickets have been ordered in advance so it looks to be a huge event for Perth”
The event is suitable for all ages. Entry is £3 per person, under 10’s go free with lots of fun classes and workshops to book on our website. Tickets can be purchased at www.bgcp.co.uk
Drew Marr, a 14-year-old Comic Con book creator from Dundee is also set to make an appearance at the event.
