The much-anticipated Christmas Lights Switch-On Weekend in Perth has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions and public safety concerns

Perth and Kinross Council highlighted potential challenges for those traveling from outside Perth and noted that personnel who would typically support the event might be needed to address weather impacts across Perth and Kinross due to wider amber and yellow warnings.

The event was scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday.
