Police are continuing to appeal for information to help trace Coen Bust, who was reported missing a fortnight ago.

Mr Bust, 47, travelled by train from Edinburgh to the Dunkeld area on Thursday, 13 March. He was last confirmed to have arrived at Dunkeld railway station at 10:18am, and has not been seen since.

Today, officers will be present at both Edinburgh Waverley and Dunkeld stations. Anyone with information is urged to speak with them.

Mr Bust is described as white, of heavy build, with a long grey beard. He is believed to have been wearing a mustard-yellow jacket and carrying a rucksack along with a red or orange metal water bottle.

Inspector James Longden, of Blairgowrie Police Station, said: “Since Mr Bust was reported missing, we have conducted extensive and specialist searches and enquiries across the area, but regrettably we have not yet been able to locate him.

“Two weeks on, these searches continue in the Dunkeld and Birnam areas, and we are still appealing for any information that could help us find him.

“Anyone who knows where Mr Bust is or may have seen him should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 2616 of Thursday, 13 March.”

Last week, Bust admitted to sending inappropriate messages via social media to an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty to the charge Jan. 30 and was added to the sex offender register in September 2023.
