Jollyes, the popular pet retailer, is set to relocate its Perth branch from Highland Gateway to a new, significantly larger unit at St Catherine’s Retail Park later this month.

The move brings the store closer to the city centre and offers local pet owners an expanded range of products and services.

The new 7,500 sq ft store will be one of the retailer’s largest in the UK and is set to officially open on Tuesday, 22 July. A grand opening event will follow on Friday, 25 July at 10am, with Provost of Perth and Kinross, Xander McDade, and his Labrador Cora performing the ceremonial ribbon cutting—Cora will also bite through a string of sausages to mark the occasion.

Joining the opening celebrations will be PC Richard Smith and service dog Odin, representing the National Foundation for Retired Service Animals (NFRSA). Odin, a Police Scotland general purpose dog, assists with searches, tracking, and missing person investigations. The partnership with NFRSA reflects Jollyes’ ongoing support for retired service animals through nationwide fundraising efforts.

Also in attendance will be Scotland’s national piper, Louise Marshall, who will perform classic pet-themed tunes, including “How Much Is That Doggie in the Window?”

The new store will feature Jollyes’ signature Raw Store ‘shop-in-shop’, showcasing the retailer’s widest selection of raw frozen food for cats and dogs. It will also offer an extensive range of wild bird seed, reinforcing Jollyes’ position as one of the UK’s top five wild bird food suppliers.

Celebrations will continue on Saturday, 26 July, with entertainment, themed gameshows, and chances to win prizes on the store’s signature “Wheel of Fur-tune.”

All eight current staff members will transfer to the new location, joined by three newly created full-time positions. The store will be managed by Stuart Brown, who has over six years’ experience with Jollyes and has played a key role in expanding the brand across Scotland.

“Our team is working flat out to get Perth’s expanded and easy-to-reach store ready for customers, while keeping the same friendly faces and industry-leading know-how they love,” said Brown. “We’re excited to bring even better value and expertise to our loyal customers in Perth.”

Jollyes, which operates over 100 stores across the UK, was recently named one of The Sunday Times’ best big companies to work for, and won Retail Week’s Head Office Heroes award for its raw food initiative. The company has also introduced enhanced leave policies, including fertility, neonatal, and baby loss support for staff.
