A cyclist has died following a road traffic collision in Kinross, Police Scotland has confirmed.

A cyclist has died following a road traffic collision in Kinross, Police Scotland has confirmed.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland, along with other emergencies services attended at the unclassified road between the B9097 heading towards Nivingstone Hill this morning at 10am after reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedal cyclist and a lorry.

The cyclist has sadly died.

Next of kin have been made aware and our thoughts are with his family and friends.

The road is currently closed to allow full crash investigations to take place. Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 1058 of 25 May.”

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course, police have said.
