Perth Police Rescue Woman From River Tay

Officers from Perth received a call from members of the public that a woman plunged herself in the Tay.

Around 1.40pm Police Scotland officers, used their challenging skills by  throwing a line to rescue the unknown woman. Tayside Fire were also at scene and praised officers for their fast response decision. Tayside Fire also thanked the public for their actions from preventing any serious outcome.

It’s unknown why the woman was entering the River Tay beside Smeaton’s Bridge. [wp_ad_camp_3]

Police Scotland can confirm that about 1640 hours on Wednesday 04 March 2015 Officers attended at Market Park, King Street, Crieff following a report from a member of the public that an unexploded shell had been unearthed at that location.
