The court heard Ana makes around £20 a day selling the magazine The Big Issue. “This incident occurred almost as an act of desperation. She indicated to me that she was cold and didn’t have the means to pay for the jacket.” Said Solicitor Erica Watson.
Ana Novac, 24, was fined £240 by the court – which she was let off lightly due to limited financial circumstances.
