Ana Novac was fined £240 at Perth Sheriff Court for stealing a jacket at Marks and Spencer.

Ana Novac said “It’s too cold for me in Scotland” in a desperate attempt Ana stole a jacket from the retailer to keep herself warm and out of danger.

The court heard Ana makes around £20 a day selling the magazine The Big Issue. “This incident occurred almost as an act of desperation. She indicated to me that she was cold and didn’t have the means to pay for the jacket.” Said Solicitor Erica Watson.
